Mr Chen Yong
Executive Chairman
Mr Chen Yong is the Executive Chairman and the co-founder of the Group. He was
appointed as Director on 9 March 2004 and is responsible for planning the business direction
and development of the Group. Mr Chen started his career at a government organization
(Linyi City Foreign Trade Bureau) in June 1990 and was the Assistant Department Head in
charge of foreign import and export trading until May 1993. Subsequently, from June 1993 to
May 1997, Mr Chen worked in a government organisation (Linyi Custom Duty Department)
and was the Department Head responsible for import and export taxations. In June 1997,
Mr Chen entered into an agreement with 临沂市造纸工厂, a PRC entity engaged in the
manufacture of paper chemical products and acquired the rights to manage and operate
a paper chemical manufacturing factory in Luozhuang District, Linyi City, Shandong
Province, PRC and was its General Manager in charge of managing its overall paper
chemical manufacturing operations until June 2000. In July 2000, Mr Chen, together with
the Managing Director Mr Li Hanpu and certain of the Executive Officers, established
Linyi Dahua Paper Co., Ltd ("Dahua") in July 2000, Mr Chen, together with the Managing
Director Mr Li Hanpu and certain of the Executive Officers, established Linyi Dahua Paper
Co., Ltd ("Dahua") in July 2000, to expand to paper manufacturing operations. Mr Chen
was appointed as Chairman of Dahua and was in charge of the overall management
and operation of its paper and paper chemical manufacturing operations from July
2000 to December 2003. Mr Chen holds a Degree in Administration and Economics from
Shandong Agriculture University.
Mr Li Pengju
Executive Director
Mr Li Pengju is the Executive Director of the Group and oversees the overall finance and
accounting functions. He was appointed as Director of the Group on 18 March 2004.
From July 1996 to June 2000, he was the Finance Manager of Linyi Gucheng Group, a
PRC entity engaged in the manufacture of electrical wire products and was in charge
of its daily finance and accounting operations. In July 2000, he joined Dahua and was its
Finance Manager from July 2000 to December 2003, responsible for its daily finance and
accounting operations. Mr Li holds a Diploma in Accounting from Qingdao University.
Mr Li Hanpu
Managing Director
Mr Li Hanpu is the Managing Director and co-founder of the Group. He was
appointed as Director of the Group on 9 March 2004 and is in charge of the
overall management of the Group's operations. Prior to joining the Group, Mr
Li was the Assistant General Manager of 临沂市造纸工厂, a PRC entity engaged
in the manufacture of paper products, from April 1993 to June 2000 and
was in charge of its manufacturing operations. In July 2000, Mr Li, together
with our Executive Chairman Mr Chen Yong and certain of the Executive
Officers, established Dahua. Mr Li was appointed as the General Manager
of Dahua and was in charge of the management of its paper and paper
chemical manufacturing operations from July 2000 to December 2003. Mr Li
holds a Diploma in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing from Tianjin Light Industries
College.
Mr Chan Wai Meng
Independent Director
Mr Chan Wai Meng was appointed as an Independent Director on 16
April 2004. He has more than 30 years of experience in finance, corporate
planning, investment, sales and marketing. Mr Chan has worked in various
management and financial positions in a public accounting firm, a financial
institution, an electronic manufacturing company, a government lottery
company and a charitable welfare organisation. Mr Chan holds a Bachelor
degree in Accountancy from the University of Singapore, and has been a
member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore for more
than 25 years.
Mr Ong Tiong Seng
Independent Director
Mr Ong Tiong Seng was appointed as an Independent Director on 16 April
2004. Mr Ong is currently the Chairman of Cogent Financial Group (HK)
Limited, an investment fund company. He is also the Vice Chairman of
Provenance Capital Pte Ltd, an investment banking business. Prior to joining
the private sector, Mr Ong worked with the Economic Development Board
of Singapore. Mr Ong graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree
(Banking and Finance) from University of Canberra in 1992 and a Master of
Economics Degree from Macquarie University, Australia in 1993.
